The Venue Theatre proudly presents in Concert Mary Coughlan - 11. Feb 2012

Mary Coughlan's autobiography 'Bloody Mary' was released & published by Hachette Books and has since become a bestseller. In this funny, moving and typically outspoken memoir, Ireland's best-loved jazz singer pulls no punches in describing her redemption from alcoholism and drug addiction and gets to the heart of what made Mary so contrary. 2010 was the 25th anniversary of Mary Coughlan's seminal album 'Tired and Emotional' which was Ireland's biggest selling album in the year of release and is now 7 times platinum. Mary is playing a selection of dates offering the unique opportunity to see her performing songs from the new album as well as a selection of material spanning her whole career. read more >>
The Venue Theatre proudly presents David McSavage

SATIRIST, stand-up and street performer David McSavage may be the brother of former Fianna Fail TD Barry Andrews and first cousin of Ryan Tubridy, but he's the last man on earth to suck up to his high-profile relatives.
Both come in for a savaging. Ryan gets a roasting for his young fogey persona, with McSavage branding him a "skinny p***k".
Meanwhile, David claims that brother Barry was always the favorite son. He certainly doesn't appear to display much sympathy over Barry recently losing his seat.
This is bread and butter stuff for a comic that has consistently proven to be an agent provocateur. McSavage recently rose to prominence thanks to the sharp and often hilarious satire of his successful TV series 'The Savage Eye'. Despite this achievement, David lampoons being critically acclaimed, pouring scorn on other shows that get higher ratings.
Located in the heart of Ratoath, Co. Meath

The Venue Theatre is located in the town of Ratoath, County Meath. Ratoath can be easily reached via the N2 or N3 roads via the M50 Dublin ring road.

Nick Killian, Manager of Venue Theatre Ratoath, congratulating local Ratoath Girl "Ellie O'Neill", who won the First Prize of 1000 euro and an Electric Piano for her singing her own song in the competition. The judges commented; Ellie O'Neill has that natural ability to perform well and sing well, if she pursues her song writing / singing as a career, she will end up in Nashville with her brand of Country Rock just like Shania Twain, she is an immense talent, this was the unanimous view of the 5 judges. Nick Killian said: "On behalf of the Venue Theatre I am delighted and honoured to have met so many talented young musicians, singers and dancers throughout this 8 week competition. The standard of music was so high that many of the contestants are good enough to go forward to the "X Factor". I also want to thank all of our sponsors, without whom it would have been impossible to run, DBASS Chartered Accountants, Ashbourne, W.P.O'Reilly, Financial Consultants, Ashbourne, Joe Doyle of TELE.IE, AND The Ratoath School of Music."
This venue is for you.
Without it, and all the ways it makes you feel,
Ireland will become a poorer place.
Its cost to the state is modest, but its worth is great.
It's also fragile, and cannot endure further cuts.
As Budget 2011 approaches, let your elected
representatives know just how valuable it is to you. Visit www.ncfa.ie to find out what you can do.
